PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Through sports and Physical Education individuals are able to experience equality, freedom and a dignified means of strengthening themselves.

At school, in secondary level, students continue to develop their motor abilities and skills with the aim of successfully facing all the sport experiences offered in the area of Physical Education.

The institution has an annual sports calendar that sets the following sports for students to practise: football, rugby, hockey and athletics; they are also taught the basic techniques in volleyball, basketball and softball.

Interhouse competitions are traditional at school, as well as the cross-country race, the team-building exercises of Life in close contact to Nature and the Sports Day — an event in which students show their skill at High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, 100 metres hurdles and relay races in teams.

The staff of the Physical Education Department comprises eight national Physical Education teachers, specialized in the sports disciplines that they develop with the students.
